Bob Clark (athlete)

Bob Clark ( Robert actually Hyatt Clark, born January 28, 1913 in Covina, California, † May 13, 1976 in Arcadia, California ) was an American decathlete and long jumper.

1934 and 1935 he was U.S. champion and 1936 U.S. runner-up in the decathlon. Also the national runner-up in 1934, he was in the long jump.

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, he was sixth in the long jump. In the decathlon, there was a U.S. triple success: Bob Clark won with his personal best of 7601 points silver behind Glenn Morris, who set a world record with 7900 points, and before Jack Parker with 7275 points.
