Bob Doris

Bob Doris (May 11, 1973 in the region of Vale of Leven ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

Doris attended the University of Glasgow, which he left with a master's degree in social sciences. He then earned a teaching license and worked as a history teacher in 1995.

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 2007 Doris candidate for the constituency Glasgow Maryhill, but could not prevail against the Labour candidate Patricia Ferguson himself. Since Doris was placed on the list of candidates for the election of the SNP Glasgow area to the front ranks, he moved as a result of the election result as one of four SNP politicians as representatives of the constituency in the parliament. As part of the reform constituency of Glasgow Maryhill constituency was dissolved in 2011 and largely replaced by the extended constituency Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn. For this candidate Doris in the parliamentary elections in 2011, but lost again Ferguson. Together with Humza Yousaf, he moved as one of two SNP candidates but again for choosing Glasgow Area in the parliament.
