Bob McCarron

Robert " Bob" McCarron (* July 1950 in Hammersmith, London, England) is an Australian special effects artist, makeup artist and a trained paramedic. In German-speaking countries, he is best known as " Dr. Bob " from the RTL TV show I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! known.

Life

McCarron began his career as a filmmaker in 1977 as a makeup artist at a produced in Australia Special of the Benny Hill show. He worked two years at the special effects of the film drama Just Out of Reach with Sam Neill in the title role. His next film was George Miller's Mad Max II - The Road Warrior. He worked in the 1980s for many famous Australian film directors like Phillip Noyce and Peter Weir. In 1992 he established itself as an artist prostheses for Peter Jackson's horror film Braindead, a year later, he woke up the excellent three Academy Awards British film drama The Piano this area of the mask image. In 1999 he participated as special makeup effects artist at the award-winning four Oscars American action film matrix. 2000 McCarron was medical director of the opening and closing ceremonies at the Olympic Summer Games 2000 in Sydney. Get Me Out of Here! with. In 2004 he received the Medal of the Order of Australia.
