Franklin Roberto Lashley (* July 16, 1976 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, United States) is an American professional wrestler, wrestlers and MMA fighters.
He was known primarily by his ring name Bobby Lashley and currently he is in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under contract. Currently Lashley's TNA contract is exposed due to its targeted MMA career and he was removed from the active roster.
Background in sports
Lashley graduated from Missouri Valley College and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Human Service Agency Management from. During this time he was able to win three national championships in wrestling between 1996 and 1998. He was also in 1997 and 1998 NAIA champion in wrestling. After college, he continued his career in the Ringer Army of the United States, where he was twice Armed Forces Champion and silver medalist at the World Military Championships.
Career
World Wrestling Entertainment
In November 2003, Lashley signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and subsequently went as Blaster Lashley in their structure League Ohio Valley Wrestling on. In mid-2005 Lashley appeared for the first time in a dark match to test its effect on the WWE audience.
On 23 September 2005 Lashley had under the ring name Bobby Lashley Smackdown! his official WWE debut. He was presented at the Military World Championship to the public as a triple National Amateur Wrestling Champion, four-time All-American, two-time Armed Forces Champion and silver medalist. He had now got the gimmick of a powerhouse, an absolute powerhouse, and so he was allowed to beat his opponent clear in a very short -term match history. He has now been used in the middle fight card and went through his first feud programs. Thus, Lashley was the sixth and final participant in the Extreme Elimination Chambers at the PPV ECW December to Dismember, the only major event that could hold the ECW roster. There Lashley was on 3 December 2006 claim his first major title when he was allowed Big Show to defeat the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. After several title defenses Lashley had the title on 29 April 2007 after a handicap match at Backlash WWE Vince McMahon issued. On April 30, was disseminated by the WWE that Lashley had to pause because of a shoulder injury, but this occurred on 3 June 2007, in the ECW One Night Stand 2007. There Lashley defeated Vince McMahon was allowed to clear in a Street Fight, and so win the ECW Title for the second time.
On 11 June 2007, Lashley moved to RAW because of the Draft Lottery. As a result, his ECW title was revoked and declared vacant.
They tried on the part of WWE Lashley again in the top fight card use and so denied this as many tracks matches, but he could not win because of his real shoulder injury. So Lashley was injured and leave as part of a storyline.
On 22 January 2008, Lashley announced on his official website that he would not return to WWE after his recovery and had therefore asked for his release. On 4 February 2008, Lashley was officially fired from the WWE.
Independent / Total Nonstop Action Wrestling
Lashley was taken on April 10, 2008 by the Sports Entertainment Management Group Zinkin Entertainment in the list of athletes they support what the rumors confirmed that he would pursue a career as a mixed martial arts fighter, but this left again. On 23 May 2008, he took part in a wrestling match for Robert Huffman's PWA promotion.
Since mid-April 2009 Bobby Lashley occurs with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. But since the beginning of 2010 rests its current TNA contract, as Lashley wanted to devote more of his MMA career. For this reason he was removed from the current TNA roster.
Mixed Martial Arts
