Bojoura

Bojoura (actually Raina Cleuver van Melzen; born April 15, 1947 in The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch pop and folk singer who was able to record their greatest success in the late 1960s and into the 1970s.

Bojoura ( Bulgarian for " peony " - Bulg Божур ) is the daughter of the Bulgarian -born opera singer and music teacher Dany Zonewa. It was discovered in 1967 by George Kooymans of the rock band Golden Earring. In the same year they reached # 18 of the Dutch charts with the ballad written by Kooymans " Everybody's Day". 1967 and 1968 she was a presenter on the program View the TV station AVRO TV where she interviewed celebrities like Truman Capote or The Supremes. In 1968, she represented the Netherlands at the Festival Orphée d'Or in Bulgarian Burgas. In 1969 she coverte the written Donovan song "If it 's Tuesday, this must be Belgium" traveling from the U.S. film comedy So and so we love, who later became the inspiration for the song " Chura liya hai " from the Bollywood film Yaadon Ki Baraat 1973 served. With their version of the song " Frank Mills " from the musical Hair, she came in February 1969 at No. 8 of the Dutch charts. Your last top 20 success she had in 1974 with the Box Tops song "The Letter ".

Bojoura is married to Hans Cleuver, drummer of the Dutch progressive rock group Focus.
