Geography

Burgfelden is located at 912 m above sea level. NN on a plateau, which is upstream of the Schalksburg. From the Schalksburg out is seen as the deep cut Eyachtal. History

Burgfelden was mentioned in 1064, first documented as Burchveld. Probably the village originated from an ancient noble residence dating back to the 7th century out. Schalksburg
