Bomê County

Bome (also called Powo ) is a circle, which belongs to the administrative area of the district of Nyingchi Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. In 1999 he was one of 27,169 inhabitants. Its main town is Zhamog ( Zhamu ).

Bome has virtually retained its independence until the 20th century. This old center of Tibetan culture is also known under the name Poyül or Powo.
