Borghild Niskin

Borghild Niskin Solveig ( born February 19, 1924 in Hole, † January 18, 2013 in Niskinnveien ) was a Norwegian alpine skier. Niskin was 17 times Norwegian champion and three -time Olympian. In 1956 she became the first woman to be awarded the Holmenkollen medal.

Biography

In her Olympic debut in 1948 in St. Moritz Niskin formed Laila Schou Nilsen along with the two-headed Alpine Women's Team Norway.
