Borgia (* 1994, † the end of March 2012) was a Thoroughbred horse, the German Derby and 1999, the Hong Kong Vase won in 1997.

Descent

Borgia was so far the only horse race German bred horse whose both parents at the world's most valuable race, attended the " Prix de l' Arc de Triomphe ." Her father Acatenango 1986 was seventh, her mother Britannia 1989 Ninth.

Racing career

She was the second and so far last mare who won the " German Derby " in Hamburg- Horn after the Second World War. This Derby victory had also been instrumental in their choice to Galopper of 1997. Fact that this Derby victory was no fluke, Borgia was then on the international stage with a victory in the " Grand Prix of Baden ."
