Born in East L. A.

Born in East LA is an American comedy film directed by Cheech Marin, who both wrote the screenplay, as also assumed the lead role in this film. The film is based on a parody of the famous song Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen.

Action

In East Los Angeles Rudy, a car mechanic lives of Mexican descent. However, he is an American citizen and is compatible with both the Spanish language and Mexican culture somewhat familiar, as his family has lived in the U.S. for four generations. Before his mother goes to Fresno, they commissioned Rudy pick up his cousin Javier from his workplace, a toy factory that employs illegal immigrant Mexicans. Shortly after Rudy arrives there, he is surprised by a raid by immigration authorities. The officials keep him despite his impeccable English skills for illegal immigrants and Rudy can not identify themselves, as he has forgotten his wallet at home. Therefore, he is deported to Mexico and lands in the border city of Tijuana. There, he turns to American officials who believe his story but not Rudy and therefore must remain in Mexico. He tries his cousin Javier in Los Angeles to reach by phone, so that brings him his badge. Javier's phone is, however, behind a picture of Jesus, why Javier, the phone can not find it. From anger destroys Rudy the phone, which is why he is detained for one night. In prison, he protected a fellow inmate from being raped and demands for 100 dollars, money that Rudy does not have it. After Rudy was released from prison, he goes to get several attempts over the border, but they all fail. In Tijuana, Rudy meets the Americans Jimmy, who runs a nightclub there. He offers Rudy a job and the two become friends. Jimmy has put in touch with people smugglers, people for $ 500 to America. So Rudy takes on several jobs, he works in Jimmy's nightclub, as orange sellers or as a musician. He also brings Chinese and Indians who are going to illegally immigrate to the States in how Americans behave in East Los Angeles. He meets the waitress Dolores know and the two fall in love. Through his various jobs it creates Rudy to get the $ 500 for the people smugglers together. He, however, applies to a family that does not have enough money to human traffickers and gives them the opportunity to immigrate to the United States.
