Boromo

Boromo is a city and a comprehensive department of the same territory in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the region Boucle du Mouhoun and capital of the province balé. Boromo is on the main road that connects the two major cities of the country, Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso together. The population in the four sectors of the capital and the associated eight villages is 29,849.

Main ethnic groups in Boromo are Marka and Mossi, who drove in 1830 the population of the traditional Kô, as they had been instigated by the marabout Mamadou Karantao it. Approximately 70 % of residents Boromos are Muslims.

South of Boromo is the National Park Deux Balés.
