Boršice u Blatnice

Boršice u Blatnice until 1960 Boršice ( German Borschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Hluk and belongs to Okres Uherské Hradiště.

Geography

The road Angersdorf Boršice u Blatnice extends on the western slope of the White Carpathians along the creek Boršický creek. The village lies on the edge of the nature reserve PLA White Carpathians. To the north rises the Babí hora (364 m), in the southeast of Kolo (490 m ) south of the Lipinka (504 m), the Straz (401 m) and the Suchovský Šumárník ( 477 m), in the southwest of the Draha ( 374 m ) and north-west of the Jasenová (409 m). By Boršice u Blatnice leads the state road I/54 between Veseli nad Moravou and Nové Mesto nad Váhom.

Neighboring towns are Babí Hora and Dolni Němčí in the north, Austerlitz in the northeast, Horni Němčí in the east, Uherskohradišťské Vápenky, Fojtické Mlýny Podširocké Mlýny and Čerešnické Mlýny the southeast, Hryzlácké Mlýny Zámečnické Mlýny Suchovské Mlýny Trnovský Mlýn and Suchov in the south, Velka nad Veličkou, Žilkův Mlýn, Horákův Mlýn and Louka in the southwest, Blatnička in the west and Ostrožská Lhota and Hluk in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1278 in a document Hartmann Get stone. The name of the place goes back to Boreš II of giant castle, which was probably also its founder. In the 14th century, the lords of Sternberg purchased the goods. Albert von Sternberg on Světlov († 1380 ) wrote over 1378 villages Boršice, Spinek and Wnorov including the patronage law on the Church in Wnorov his wife Anežka as a wedding gift. Here also a stronghold in Boršice was mentioned. 1412 joined Jaroslav von Sternberg villages Louka, Boršice, Spinek and Wnorov and later the castle Světlov to the widow Vok of Krawarns, Eliska von Sternberg from. The celebrations died out during the Hussite Wars. In the 16th century the village was connected to the rule Ostroh. Subsequent owners were the lords of Kunowitz and from 1625 the Liechtenstein family. 1663 Boršice was devastated by troops of the Grand Vizier Ahmed Kiupril led by the Duke of Saarus ( Solnohrad ), Michael Apaffy. 1686 were the Turks again in Boršice. At the beginning of the 18th century, the first school was built in Boršice. Until the mid-19th century Boršice remained subservient always Ostroh.

After the abolition of patrimonial Boršice / Borschitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Hradisch. In 1949 the community was associated with the new Okres Veseli nad Moravou. After the abolition of Veseli nad Moravou Okres Boršice the end of 1960 came back to Okres Uherské Hradiště and received the distinction of Boršice u Buchlovic the official auxiliary u Blatnice.
