Bošany

Bošany ( Boschan German, Hungarian Bossány ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Geography

The village is situated on the Danube hills at the foot of Tribeč on the banks of Nitra. Nearest towns are Topoľčany (7 km) and Partizánske (12 km).

The municipality belongs next to today's main district, which still is divided into Malé and Veľké Bošany Bošany, also the 1960 is my finished and south west location Bastin.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1183 as Bossan. Today's church was built in 1924 by the merger of places Malé and Veľké Bošany Bošany.
