Božena Laglerová

Bozena Laglerová, also Bozena Lagler ( born December 11, 1888 in Prague, † October 8, 1941 in Prague) was a Bohemian- Austrian flight pioneer.

Life

Originally Laglerová visited the Conservatory, where she studied singing and acting. She performed under the stage name Frieda Gerome. In 1908 she went to acting training to Paris. She was also a singer in the Weinberger Thater in Prague, where she sang in operettas such as the bat or in the dollar princess.

Even as a journalist she worked, for example, for the magazine home and world.

But gained in importance as Laglerová aviator. She learned to fly in the German aviation pioneer Hans Grade, whose first pupil she was. Grade also provided aircraft. On these machines, she began her training in the spring of 1911. 's Exam in July it reached an altitude of 150 meters when the engine failed and it crashed into a tree.
