Bracebridge, Ontario

Bracebridge is a city in Canada and the administrative seat of the Muskoka District Municipality, Ontario.

The city was established in 1875 after a book by Washington Irving, Bracebridge Hall, named. Bracebridge is located with its approximately 14,000 inhabitants at the 45th parallel, exactly in the middle between the equator and the North Pole. With Santa's Village, a Christmas theme park, the city has a regional tourist attraction.

The politician and the 19th Prime Minister of Ontario Frank Miller ( 1927-2000 ) spent his last years in Bracebridge, where he died in 2000.
