Brad Owen

Brad Owen ( * May 23, 1950 in Tacoma, Washington ) is an American politician and since 1997, the 15th Lieutenant Governor of his home state.

Owen was from 1976 to 1979 the House of Representatives from Washington and sat 1983-1996 Senator in the Senate of the State. He was elected as a Democrat for lieutenant governor ( lieutenant governor ) of Washington in 1996. For the years 2000, 2004 and 2008 elections, he was able to defend his position, respectively. As Lieutenant Governor Owen is also the President of the Senate of Washington.

In recognition of his efforts to deepen relations between Washington and Spain State, Owen was awarded 2007, the Orden de Isabel la Católica by King Juan Carlos I.. The king, who was not even present, was represented by the Spanish General Manuel Pradas Romani and the Honorary Consul Luis Fernando Esteban.

Owen is married and has six children and 13 grandchildren.
