Bratya Daskalovi

Bratja Daskalowi [ Bratja daskalɔvi ] ( Bulgarian Братя Даскалови ) is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is in the Oblast Stara Zagora and is the administrative center of the municipality Bratja Daskalowi. The village is located in the Upper Thracian Plain.

History

The village Bratja Daskalowi was founded in 1956 by the merger of the two villages on both sides of the river Omurowska reka: Grosdowo ( Bulg Гроздово ) on the left bank and Wojnizite ( Bulg Войниците ) or Raschewo ( Bulg Ръжево ) on the right bank.

By 1947 Grosdowo bore the name Malko Borisowo ( Bulg Малко Борисово ) and before that it was called until 1906 Burnusus ( Bulg Бурнусус ). Today is, a quarter of the village Burnusus. The village was called until 1906 Wojnizite Wojnik machale ( Bulg Войник махале ).

The present name Bratja Daskalowi ( Bulgarian for " Brothers Daskalov " ) is the three brothers Dimitar Daskalov ( Bulg Димитър Даскалов; 1883-1923 ), Ivan Daskalov ( Bulg Иван Даскалов; 1885-1923 ) and Nikola Daskalov ( Bulg Никола Даскалов, 1895 - 1923) devoted. They were participants in the September uprising of 1923. According to its suppression they ( Bulg Аязмото ) of Stara Zagora were on 4 October 1923 City Park Ajasmo executed.

The village holiday is on 23 September.

Community Bratja Daskalowi

The community Bratja Daskalowi covers an area of 497 km ². It has 8917 inhabitants (as of 15 September 2010) in the 23 villages of the municipality. The region has been inhabited since ancient times, including prehistoric settlement mounds dating from the 5th to 4th millennium BC in the surrounding area from almost every Dorg the municipality there are traces of ancient and medieval settlements.

The municipality has a convenient transport network, location. The Awtomagistrala A3 " Mariza " Burgas ( Awtomagistrala A1 " Trakia " ), representing 5 km southeast of Orisowo as part of the Pan-European Transport Corridor No. 4 south towards Turkey via the border crossing Kapitan Andreevo - Through the territory of the municipality performs the Sofia Motorway - Kapıkule branches,

The community is very rural geprägt.63 percent of the area is used for agriculture. The agriculture, especially grain, wine and fruit growing are the economic mainstay of the community, especially the climate and soil conditions are favorable for the cultivation of the " Bulgarian oil-bearing rose " ( damask rose ), lavender and cotton. The investments of recent years, the area under the vines to 300 ha was increased, the area planted to lavender by 27 hectares of roses around 33 ha and the area for fruit growing by 30 ha

The economy of the municipality is the processing of agricultural produce generated here: cannery, milk processing, wine making and mills. With financial support from the SAPARD Programme of the European Union, new production capacity for food processing has been established that match the EU standards. The products of these companies are currently (as of 2010 ) but sold only within Bulgaria. An exception is the cannery " Konex - Tiva " at Orisowo that works exclusively for export: to Canada, USA, France, Great Britain, Sweden, Germany and Israel.

The community, with its numerous small reservoirs is seeking to boost tourism in the southern foothills of the Sredna Gora (20 km north of Bratja Daskalowi )
