BRD - Groupe Société Générale S. A. is a Romanian bank with its headquarters in Bucharest, which belongs to the French company Societe Generale. The company is listed on the stock index BET 10.

The company was founded in 1923.

In 1999, the corresponding up to this point, the Romanian government Banca Română pentru Dezvoltare (Romanian Development Bank) was acquired by Société Générale and after the acquisition in BRD - Groupe Société Générale renamed.

2008, the Bank had approximately 2.3 million customers and more than 930 branches in Romania.
