The Bremke is a 4.7 km long, north and orographic left tributary of the Warme Bode in the Harz Mountains, Saxony -Anhalt and Lower Saxony, Germany.

Grenzbach

At its entire route the Bremke forms the boundary of the aforementioned states and by 1990 between the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. Even today, parts of the old East German patrol road the inner German border are obtained near the eastern creek bank. She is also the border of the Harz Nature Park / Saxony- Anhalt Harz (Lower Saxony ).

Course

The Bremke originates in the Harz between the western mountain worm at Braun situation in Lower Saxony and the eastern Little Winterberg at Schierke in Saxony -Anhalt at 805 m above sea level. NN. The creek flows in a predominantly southerly direction, it falls over the small Bremkefall and opens slightly to cross under the highway 27 and just east of Brown located near the silver fox farm in the Bode river source Warme Bode.
