Brian D'Amato
Brian D' Amato is an American author, journalist, lecturer and sculptor. He is the son of the crime author Barbara D' Amato.
In the 1990s, D' Amato's sculptures have been exhibited in galleries and museums, including the Whitney Museum, the Wexner Center for the Arts and the New Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition, D' Amato worked as a journalist for Vogue and other magazines and taught art and art history at the City University of New York, the Ohio State University and Yale University, where he had previously studied.
His published in 1992 novel "The Price of Beauty ," a thriller about cosmetic surgery, has been translated into several languages and nominated for the Bram Stoker Award. The international breakthrough came with the published in 2009 novel " 2012 - The end of time ", the first part of an applied to a total of three volumes apocalyptic thriller.
The sequel, entitled "2012 - the day of prophecy " bears should be published in February 2011 in German translation, but the manuscript was not ready in time and shifted the novel indefinitely. The book is now published in May in England and in Germany in July.
