Brian Fargo was born in Long Beach, California near Los Angeles and grew up in nearby Newport Beach. In 1977 he was given by his parents a computer and soon developed a desire to develop computer games. In 1983 he was one of the founders of the computer game company Interplay Entertainment, where he collaborated, among others, to games, such as the Bard 's Tale series and Wasteland. Mid -1990s had Interplay over 600 employees and went public ( NASDAQ) in 1998. However, the company ran into financial trouble soon after. In 2001, Interplay was eventually taken over by Titus Interactive French and Brian Fargo soon left the company.
Fargo, founded in 2003 a new company, inXile Entertainment. In October 2004 inXile the title The Bard's Tale for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC. Beginning of 2012 was financed through the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter Internet Wasteland 2 in the style of a classic RPGs and should appear autumn 2013.
