Brian Hoyer ( born October 13, 1985 in North Olmsted, Ohio) is an American professional American football player at the position of quarterback. He plays for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League ( NFL).
Career
Hoyer attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After that, he played college football for the Michigan State University and was named after the NFL Draft in 2009 committed by the New England Patriots.
His regular -season debut Hoyer made with a 59:0 victory for the Patriots against the Tennessee Titans in week six of the 2009 season. He scored a run touchdown and a quarterback rating of 86.4. For the 2012 season he moved to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but was also used here as the Patriots only as a substitute quarterback. Of the Steelers, he was released again in early December and directly committed by the Arizona Cardinals. On May 2, 2013, signed a two-year contract with his hometown club the Cleveland Browns.
