Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn ABDeh 6/6

The ABDeh 6/6, from 1981/82 BDeh 6/6, are gear - electric railcars of Brig -Visp- Zermatt -Bahn ( BVZ ) or the successor Matterhorn -Gotthard - Bahn (MGB ).

The late fifties saw the BVZ a strong traffic growth, which is why they purchased new vehicles. The 1960 delivered ABDeh 6/6 had here over the then current HGe 4/4, the advantages of being able to be used as people drive cars without car as a passenger, as well as a higher towing capacity of 125 t, which was ensured by more driven axles, since the Force per axle could not be increased by the rack. The two car bodies are propped up on two side supports on the outer bogies as well as via one central support together on the middle Jakob bogie. Behind the cab closed to Brig side a first- class compartment on Zermatt side, a luggage compartment at. With both car bodies, it went on with a machine room and the toilet, then the entry-level platform and to the railcar center with the second-class compartment. The railcars have Cardan angles and transaxles. The transformer is located on the entry platform.

In 1965, the three ABDeh 8/8 were delivered as reordering ABDeh 6/6. 1981/82 the two railcars were converted and redesignated as BDeh 6/6 due to the now-missing first class. Henceforth, they were used to sourcing the BDSeh 4/8 in the shuttle train between Tasch and Zermatt.
