Brillante Mendoza

Brillante Mendoza ( born July 30, 1960 in San Fernando ( Pampanga ) Pampanga Province, Philippines ) is a Filipino film director.

Life

Mendoza has worked as a film director since 2005. Several of his films, which were always turned into Mendoza's native language Tagalog, have been awarded at international film festivals such as Locarno, Cannes and Venice between 2005 and 2009. His film Captive in the year 2011 was competition entry for the 62nd International Film Festival Berlin 2012 In the same year he received for Sinapupunan ( English speaking Festival Title: Thy Womb ). 's Second invitation to compete in the 69th Film Festival of Venice.
