Brnířov

Brnířov ( German Premirschen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located a kilometer southeast of Kdyně and belongs to the Okres Domažlice to.

Geography

Brnířov located in the Neugedeiner rut and will brook crossed by Zahoransky. North-east rises the Koráb, the east Kněžská hora ( 690 m) and in the southwest on the Bezný Neumark Pass (658 m). By Brnířov the state road leads 22 of Klatovy to Domažlice. To the west runs the railway line Klatovy - Domažlice whose nearest railway station is located in Kdyně Prapoříště.

Neighboring towns are Kdyně and Kojetice in the north, and Branišov Dobříkov in the east, in the southeast Hluboká, Vítovky and Nová Ves in the south, and Hamličky Brudek in the southwest and Prapoříště in the West.

History

The first mention of Brnířov took place in 1508 in the wake of the transfer of the castle Riesenberg after the death of Půta Švihovský to his son Břetislavova. After the end of the Thirty Years War, the Berni rula has 37 residents from the Surrounded by St. Wenceslas forest village Brnířov.

In the second half of the 17th century acquired Polyxena von Lobkowitz, the wife of the infamous " Lomikar " Wolf Maximilian Laminger of Albenreuth, the rule Riesenberg including Brnířov. 1839 was the village of 30 houses and 283 inhabitants had. In 1888, the first railway of Klattau went to dew. 1899 lived in Brnířov 298 people and in 1930 there were 352, of which 350 belonged to the Czech minority. On 4 May 1945 American troops occupied the place. 1960 Brnířov was incorporated into Kdyně, since 1990 the place is independent again.
