Brough (East Riding of Yorkshire)

Brough [ brʌf ] is a small town in the English unitary authority East Riding of Yorkshire. According to census Brough had a total of 7,000 inhabitants in 2001.

Geography

Brough is located about 15 km west of Kingston upon Hull on the north bank of the Humberästuars.

North leads the A- A63 past the town and is about 8 km to the west as the M62 towards Manchester and Liverpool continued, a major east-west axis in the United Kingdom.

Brough is located on the railway line from Hull to Selby and York and Doncaster. Direct connections to London exist with First Hull Trains and East Coast. First TransPennine Express provides, among other connections to Leeds, Manchester, Manchester Airport, and Liverpool. Northern Rail operates direct flight to York, Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield. In the East, all trains end at Hull Paragon Station, where there are connections to Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast Line.
