Broussey-Raulecourt

Broussey - Raulecourt is a commune with 258 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meuse in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district COMMERCY and the District of Saint -Mihiel.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Toul in Lorraine Regional Park, on the border with the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle. Neighboring communities of Broussey - Raulecourt are:

  • Bouconville -sur- Madt in the north,
  • Rambucourt in the east,
  • Mandres- aux- Quatre -Tours in the South East ( Dep. Meurthe -et -Moselle )
  • Géville in the south,
  • Frémeréville -sous -les- Côtes to the southwest and
  • Apremont- la -Forêt in the West.

The two main places in the municipality are Broussey -en- Woëvre and Raulecourt that were originally independent municipalities and were merged in 1973. Broussey - Raulecourt located in a Lake District and has the lakes Etang de Thau and Blonnaux Courantceuil on its own soil. In addition, the municipality is crossed by the river Rupt de Mad and touching in the extreme southeast of the Esch.
