Bruce Hopkins (actor)

Raymond Bruce Hopkins ( born November 25, 1955 in Invercargill, New Zealand) is a New Zealand actor.

Career

Hopkins was born as the son of Colleen Marguerite and Bill Hopkins, a crab fisherman. He grew up in the Bay of Islands and helped his father in the crab fishing. He was trained as a physical education teacher and was then nine years active as a professional dancer in Australia and New Zealand. Thereafter he devoted himself to the performing arts.

Hopkins was The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings The Lord of the Rings for his role as Gamling: The Return of the King known internationally. Aside from acting, he also works as a voice actor and radio host.
