The Brothers Grimm Prize of the city of Hanau is a literary prize wants to acknowledge or promote an outstanding work in German language in the field of prose, poetry or drama (quoted in procurement directives ). He has been awarded since 1983 every two years by the city of Hanau in honor of the brothers Grimm were born there and is endowed with 10,000 euros since 2005. ( If there are two winners the prize money will be split. )
