Bruley

Bruley is a commune with 593 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region. It is located in the Regional Natural Park of Lorraine.

Geography

The community Bruley is four kilometers northwest of Toul.

Origin of the name

The word Bruley is not derived from the French brûlé (Eng. burned) from, but probably refers to the vegetation of the adjacent hill. These consisted mainly of heather, which led to the name Brueriacum. This eventually resulted in today's word Bruley.

History

2007, the first edition of the Fête de l' Excellence en Lorraine was organized in the village. Thus, the wide range should be shown on local craftsmanship. A total of 15 000 people at the 60 showman came to see.
