Liverdun
Liverdun is a commune with 6001 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region ( Lorraine ). The place name is probably derived from the name of the Roman god Liber and the Gallic word from dunums (castle, fortress ).
Geography
Liverdun situated on a hill in a bend of the canalized Moselle since 1999, 18 kilometers northeast of Toul and 15 kilometers northwest of Nancy.
