Arnaville

Arnaville is a commune with 621 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The community Arnaville lies at the mouth of Rupt de Mad in the Moselle, about halfway between Nancy and Pont -à -Mousson. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Lorraine and is bordered to the north and east of the Moselle department.

History

The town was first mentioned in 851 as villa Arnoldi and belongs since 1766 to France. After the German - French war was Arnaville 1871-1918 temporarily border town of the German Reich.
