Bruno Lauzi

Bruno Lauzi ( born August 8, 1937 in Asmara ( Eritrea), † 23 October, 2006 Peschiera Borromeo ) was an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, cabaret artist, poet and writer.

Along with Umberto Bindi, Gino Paoli, Luigi Tenco and belonged Lauzi the best known of the so-called Genoese singer-songwriter school.

In Lauzis songs elements of jazz, Brazilian music, melodies, French singer and Genoese folk songs were heard. His success hits included the songs Onda su onda, Genova per noi, Ritornerai ( the last two written by Paolo Conte), Il tuo amore, Mary oh Mary and Amore caro, amore bello.

As an author, he wrote, among other songs for Mia Martini ( Donna sola, piccolo uomo, Almeno tu nell'universo ), Georges Moustaki (Lo straniero ), Ornella Vanoni (L' appuntamento ), Marcella Bella ( Più Soffia il vento, Verde Smeraldo ). and Edoardo Bennato ( lei non è qui non è là .... ).

Bruno Lauzi long suffered from Parkinson's disease, from which he died in 2006.
