The Faculty of Protestant Religious Sciences ( Faculté universitaire de Théologie protest ante ( fr.), Faculteit voor Protestantse Godgeleerdheid ( nl. ) ) is a university in Brussels, Belgium.

The university awards bachelor's, master 's and doctoral degrees in Protestant religious studies. The courses are given both in French and in Dutch.

History

The university sees itself as the continuation of the Hervormde Academie te Gent ( Ghent Reformed Academy, 1578-1584 ).

Émile Hoyois, Matthieu Schyns and William Thomas taught during the Second World War theology in Brussels, as the students were not able to study abroad. The program has been recognized by universities of Paris and Geneva. In 1950 the college was founded by the Protestant Evangelical Church and the United Methodist Church. 1955 was added the Belgian Evangelical Zendingskerk. At first they taught in the home Becker, Vleurgatsesteenweg; quickly pulled one then but for lack of space in the present premises in the Terkamerenlaan.
