Bryan Lee O'Malley

Bryan Lee O'Malley (born 21 February 1979) is a Canadian cartoonist.

Life

His first published graphic novel was Lost At Sea ( 2003). He most recently worked at the comprehensive six volumes of Scott Pilgrim series (2004 to 2010), which was adapted from British director Edgar Wright as a feature film, even before the sixth volume of the series was released on 20 July 2010. All of his graphic novels have been published to date from the Portland, Oregon -based Oni Press. He is also a songwriter and musician ( at Kupek and earlier in various short-lived bands in the vicinity of Toronto ).

Precedence over publication of his own material had the illustration of the written by Jen Van Meter Oni Press miniseries Hopeless Savages for O'Malley: Ground Zero. He also has many Oni Press comics drawn, including the major part of Chynna Clugstons productions zwischen 2002 and 2005.

2005 O'Malley won the Doug Wright Award for Best Emerging Talent and was nominated for three Harvey Awards. He was also for a 2006 Eisner Award for " Best Author / Artist - Humor ' at the Joe Shuster Awards and nominated for' Outstanding Canadian Comic Cartoonist ( Author / Artist ) ' 2005 and 2006.
