Oni Press
Oni Press is an American comic book publisher that publishes independent comics. Oni Press was founded in 1997 by Bob Schreck and Joe Nozemack. The name of the publisher is derived from the Japanese Oni demon, a picture of such also appears in the logo of the publisher.
Oni Press was founded with the explicit intention of "real mainstream " comics publishing. The mainstream of the U.S. comic market consists mainly of superhero comics that most other genres are marginalized in American comics. Onis offer, however, is wide-ranging, in addition to thrillers, romances, dramas and Western also dive Horror Comics and here and there superhero in the publishing program.
Oni laid mainly miniseries and graphic novels, Greg Ruckas spy series Queen and Country was released a long time on a monthly basis, but currently paused. Therefore, the end-time series Wasteland currently appears as a single monthly comic series of the publisher. Bob Schreck is next editor of Legendary Comics.
In German-speaking some Oni Press comics are published by Eidalon publisher.
