Bryon Russell

Bryon Demetrise Russell ( born December 31, 1970 in San Bernardino, California ) is a former American professional basketball player. Russell played between 1993 and 2006 in the NBA.

When NBA Draft 1993, he was committed in the second round by the Utah Jazz Draft. Russell played a total of nine years, on the side of Karl Malone and John Stockton, the Jazz and reached with these in 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals. As -starting small forward Russell was given the task Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan to defend. The Jazz but failed both times to the Bulls. In Game 6 of the 1998 final between Jazz and Bulls, Russell was a tragic figure of the game, as he could play the decisive throw Jordan not fend off. The scene of Jordan's last litter on Russell, before his career to end, went around the world. In the 1999-2000 season Russell had his statistically best time when he scored 14.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

2002 Russell left Utah and Washington Wizards joined them. For the Wizards, he played a season on the side of Michael Jordan, who had returned to the NBA. The 2003-04 season played Russell again on the side of Karl Malone at the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers reached the NBA Finals but lost it against the Detroit Pistons. The last two years were spent Russell at the Denver Nuggets, before his career was jingle at unterklassigen basketball teams in the ABA and IBL. 2009 Russell ended his professional career.

His jersey was drafted in 2010 by the Long Beach State.
