Bucak (Burdur)

Bucak is a district and a county seat in eastern Turkish province of Burdur. The former name is Bucak Bavlu. The county is bordered on the south by the province of Antalya, on the east by the province of Isparta, on the north by Ağlasun and Çeltikçi and to the northwest by the central district of Burdur. The county town is situated on the highway D -650 of Burdur to Antalya.

In addition to the county town are in the county's five municipalities Çamlık, Gündoğdu, Kızılkaya, Kocaaliler and Ürkütlü and 33 villages Alkaya, Avdancık, Belören, Beskonak, Bogazköy, Çobanpınarı, Dağarcık, Demirli, Dutalanı, Elsazı, Heybeliada, İncirdere, Karaaliler, Karacaören, Karaot, Karapınar, Karaseki, Kargı, Kavacık, Keçili, Kestel, Kızılcaağaç, Kızıllı, Kızılseki, Kuşbaba, Kuyubaşı, Seydiköy, Susuz, Taşyayla, Uğurlu, Üzümlübel, Yuva and Yüreğil.

Attractions

About ten kilometers northeast of the county town are the place Çamlık the ruins of the ancient Pisidian city Kremna. In the southeast of the district is the Aksu Çayı, which flows into the Mediterranean Sea in Antalya, dammed the reservoir Karacaören Baraji.
