The Federal Highway 395 (abbreviated as BAB 395 ) - Short form: Highway 395 (abbreviated as A 395 ) - also known as " resin - Highway" - is a highway that runs from Braunschweig to Vienenburg. It has a length of 36 kilometers and connects the A39 to the north with the highway-like -developed B 6 in the south.

Course

The A 395 starts a few hundred meters south of the motorway junction Braunschweig -south (A 39). Until the AS Braunschweig- Heidberg there is no hard shoulder.

After leaving the Braunschweig city area, the B 79 branches on the AS - Wolfenbüttel Wolfenbüttel from north to. Next Rounding on the A 395, the town of Wolfenbüttel. This is followed by a drive-through only by the Fümmelser wood, the Oderwald and then the very hilly area of Schladen after Vienenburg. Finally, the A ends 395 at interchange Vienenburg.

From motorway junction Vienenburg from the B 6 leads to Wernigerode and Bad Harzburg.

By 2001, the A 395 led to Bad Harzburg. As part of the extension of the four-lane B 6 east to Wernigerode the triangle Vienenburg was established and ended the highway here.

The BAB 395 is actually not directly connected to the German motorway network. The highway begins only about 200 meters after the motorway junction Braunschweig -south. In between, the road is four lanes and both carriageways are structurally separated, so that they give the impression of a highway, but there is in Beschleunigungs-/Verzögerungsstreifen between the AK -South Brunswick and the Brunswick AS - Melverode one each entrance and exit to a large car dealership and gas-station, which can not be carried out without crossing.
