Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District

The Bunkpurugu - Yunyoo District in northern Ghana is one of 18 districts in the Northern Region and was established in 2004 by the East Mamprusi District separated. The district is located in the northeastern region of the Northern Region and shares a border with the neighboring Togo.

Population

The district has a very diverse ethnic composition. The largest group Bimobas, Konkombas and Mamprusis. In addition, there are Mossi, Tallensi, Hausa, Fulani, Dagombas and Tschokossi.
