Burtnieki Municipality

The district Burtnieki ( Burtnieku novads ) is located in northern Latvia.

Population

The district consists of the five municipalities ( pagasts ) Ēvele, Matisi, Renceni, Valmiera (country ), Vecate and the administrative center Burtnieki. 8487 inhabitants ( 2010) live in the district Burtnieki.

Worth seeing

In the district of Burtnieker lake is located (in Latvian: Burtnieku ezers ) south is Burtnieki. The projected nature shore meadows gathering place and nesting area for numerous bird species.
