The administrative community Buttelstedt was in the district of Weimar in Thuringia. It had its headquarters in Buttelstedt. It consisted of the municipalities:

• Sachsenhausen
• Wohlsborn

Population Development

2006 were still alive 4,210 people in the VG, 2012, there were only 4,087.

Merger

With the Thuringian law for voluntary reorganization circle, national communities in 2013, the VG was dissolved on 31 December 2013. The member municipalities joined the administrative community Berlstedt, which was then renamed administrative community Nordkreis Weimar. Administrative headquarters are in the town of Berlstedt.
