Cabinet of Serbia (2007–08)

The Serbian government for the period 2007 to 2008 was a coalition of four parties Democratic Party ( DS), Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS ), G17 and New Serbia (NS). It was constituted on 15 May 2007 and was approved by the Parliament on the same day. The parliamentary elections were held on 21 January 2007. It was early elections because the party was leaked G17 Plus from the previous coalition government.

Once there were profound differences over the future course of rapprochement with the European Union by several EU member states in the government after the declaration of independence of Kosovo in February 2008 and the subsequent recognition, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica had 8 March 2008 his resignation, and again early elections announced. The results of the ensuing 11 May 2008 legislative elections led to protracted coalition negotiations, so that the new government was elected only on 7 July 2008.
