Cactus Flower (film)

Cactus Flower (English Cactus Flower) is a romantic comedy from 1969. The film is based on the book Fleur de cactus by Pierre Barillet and Jean-Pierre Gredy.

The screenplay for the film comes from the author IAL Diamond, who was a longtime friend of Hollywood legend Billy Wilder. Goldie Hawn succeeded with this comedy of breakthrough in the movie business. She received several awards for this film, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Action

Julian Winston, a dentist from New York, is romantically involved with the spirited and much younger Toni Simmons. He can not imagine being married. Therefore he tells Toni he was ten years married to another woman and now the father of three children. One night, Toni keeps the pressure no longer, and she tries to take in her room life. Previously, she writes Julian still a farewell letter to show how much she was in love with him. Just in time appears her neighbor, Igor Sullivan, and saves her from her room. Igor is a writer and lives only for some time next door.

She asks Igor for a favor. Igor should call the next morning in the dentist's office and tell Julian that she lives. But the call comes too late, as Julian Tonis letter has been read and is on its way to her. As he sees it in her room, he realizes just how important it is Toni. He wants his - divorced his wife and married Toni - nonexistent. However, Toni wants to be married yet definitely get to know this wife to ask her a few questions. She feels sorry for the woman because they do during the marriage had an affair with Julian and feels bad by the impending divorce.

Julian must now quickly find a woman who claims to be for an hour as his wife. He persuades his receptionist Stephanie Dickinson to play the wife. Stephanie has been almost ten years, his receptionist; she loves Julian, without knowing it. Stephanie lives with her family (sister, two nephews and a dog ) in a small apartment. The next morning Toni learns the alleged wife know the record store. They talk for a while about the future life of Stephanie. When Tony asks her about her feelings, she realizes that Stephanie still has not overcome the separation. Toni feels sorry for Stephanie and gives her a black mink stole, which she had received as a gift from Julian. Toni wants to definitely get to know the friend of Stephanie to see if she has someone to help her during the separation.

Now Julian must find a man who pretends to be a friend of his wife. Harvey Greenfield, a long-time friend of Julian, consents after him, Julian has made a proposal. Harvey and Stephanie try to play to their role as lovers as well as possible. They talk to each other until the first Harvey leaves the club. Toni found him unsympathetic and unsuitable for Stephanie at first glance.

At the end of Toni learns the whole truth about Julian and his lies. Toni does not want anything more to do with him. She falls in love with the writer Igor, who helped her during the hard times. Julian realizes that Stephanie loves him, and falls in love with her.
