Caddyshack ( Caddyshack ) is an American comedy film directed by Harold Ramis from the year 1980.

Action

In the center of the story is the Bushwood Country Club, in which one is dedicated to the game of golf. The employed there as a caddy Danny Noonan ( O'Keefe ) wants to go to college, but his, living in poverty, large family has no money for it.

The nouveau riche real estate developer Al Czervik ( Dangerfield ) gets into a conflict with the judge Elihu Smails, a snobbish WASP. He insulted his remarks during a dinner the judge and his wife.

Noonan flirting with two women: Lacey Underall, a niece of Judge Smails and his colleague at the club Maggie O'Hooligan. The judge asks him a scholarship in prospect when Noonan wins the caddy tournament. This succeeds, whereupon the judge invites him in connection to a boat warming party and thus in a better society.

In a subplot of the groundskeeper Carl Spackler ( Murray ) tries to bring (called English film Gopher ) to track a marauding under the golf course gopher. After several unsuccessful measures he tried to end the film with plastic explosives.

It comes to a golf game between two teams; the first thing of Al Czervik and Ty Webb ( Chase ), the second - Judge Smails and Dr. Pieper. Vincent Canby wrote in The New York Times of 25 July 1980 that the film look like a TV movie. The presentation by Bill Murray WOULD implausible, but the audience can recognize his efforts.
