Callan Mulvey

Callan Mulvey ( born February 24, 1975 in Auckland, New Zealand as Callan Mulvey Francis ) is an Australian actor.

Life and career

Callan Mulvey was born in February 1975 in Auckland in the Auckland region and moved to Sydney, Australia with his family at the age of eight years. There he visited together with his later co-stars Jon Pollard and all Brunning from Heartbreak High, the Balgowlah High School in New South Wales. His first acting role was the lead role as Bogdan Drazic in the ABC hit series Heartbreak High, where he appeared in over 110 episodes from 1996 to 1999. This was followed by several guest appearances on other television series, such as All Saints, pizza and Beastmaster - Lord of the wilderness. After he has finished shooting his new film Thunderstruck Mulvey was on New Years Eve in 2003 so severely injured in a car accident that he had to be implanted in the head titanium plates. From 2006 to 2008 he starred in the award-winning Australian soap opera Home and Away as Johnny Cooper. During this time he also had some guest appearances in McLeod's Daughters, Sea Patrol and Underbelly - War of the underworld. From 2010 to 2011, he starred in the Australian Polizeierie Rush in the role of Brendan " Josh " Joshua. In 2011 he played in the film The Hunter alongside Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill and Frances O'Connor.

Since December 2010 he is married to Rachel Thomas.
