Calwer Hermann-Hesse-Preis

The Calw Hermann Hesse Prize was in memory of Hermann Hesse by Southwest Radio Baden -Baden ( today SWR ) founded in 1989 and the Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw. In addition, the awards Calw Hermann Hesse Foundation Literature and Translation scholarships.

The price is not to be confused with the Karlsruhe Hermann Hesse Prize for Literature.

Calw Hermann Hesse Prize

The Calw Hermann Hesse Prize is awarded every two years to Hesse's birthday (July 2 ), alternately to a German -language literary magazine and a translator of Hesse's works. Award criterion is according to the statute of Calw Hermann -Hesse- Foundation " the care of literary culture in the service and to promote international understanding in the sense of the spirit and of the work of Hermann Hesse. Calw Hermann Hesse Scholarship

The Calw Hermann Hesse scholarship is awarded annually since 1995 to about three times.
