Camagüey Province
Camagüey is a province in central Cuba. Its capital is the city of Camagüey. In the province consisting essentially of flat land are sugar and beef cattle are economically important industries in the province.
Geography
The Camagüey province has a total area of 15,386.16 km ². In the north, the Atlantic Ocean forms a natural border to the west, the province of Las Tunas. The Caribbean joins the south, the province of Ciego de Ávila in the east.
Both coasts are lined with offshore archipelagos, the Jardines del Rey in the north and the Jardines de la Reina in the south.
Administrative divisions
The Las Tunas province is divided into 13 municipios. With the exception of Sierra de Cubitas the administrative centers are located in the same cities.
