The Camden Valley Way is a main road in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. It connects the South Western Freeway south of Casula / Prestons with the Argyle Road in Camden. Thus, the road is an important link between Sydney and the historic town of Camden on the Nepean River.

History

The road runs along the old route of the Hume Highway. In December 1980, the N31 was moved to the newly completed South Western Freeway and the Camden Valley Way (along with the also umfahrenen Camden Bypass and the Remembrance Drive) was designated State Road 89

Course

South of the suburbs Casula and Prestons branches of the Camden Valley Way from the Old Hume Highway ( S31) and its continuation to the south of Campbelltown Road ( S56) to the west. It crosses the South Western Motorway (Met -5) and crossed serving Sydney Water Supply Channel. In Leppington the road bends to the southwest and reaches in the Narellan Metroad 9 at the seams between The Northern Road and Narellan Road. 500 m to the southeast branches of the Camden Bypass ( S89 ) of the Narellan Road and accepts the designation as a state road 89

The Camden Valley Way leads on to the southwest, crossing the Nepean River and ends in the center of Camden, where he comes into Argyle Street.

Expansion of state

The road is two lanes expanded. Only about 500 m between the branch from the Old Hume Highway and the connection to the South Western Freeway have four lanes.

The Camden Valley Way became a major arterial road for the fast-growing southwestern suburbs of the capital of New South Wales .. As it is becoming more common to traffic congestion at peak times, to be expanded into the street.
