Camillo Di Pietro

Camillo di Pietro ( born January 10, 1806 Rome, † March 6, 1884 ibid ) was a papal diplomat and cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

He worked among other things as Apostolic Nuncio in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and Portugal.

Pope Pius IX. took him in 1853 in pectore in the College of Cardinals on (published 1856). In 1878 he was Cardinal Dean.

His great-uncle was Cardinal Michele Di Pietro ( 1747-1821 ).
